Ways to Support
Even if you aren’t ready to become a foster or adoptive parent, there are many ways you can support Iowa children and families!
- Download printable and electronic resources to share with your business, church or community group.
- Host an Iowa KidsNet speaker
- Become a youth mentor
- Become a CASA volunteer
- Volunteer with an Iowa agency that helps foster youth
- Volunteer at Iowa KidsNet events (occasional opportunities)
Iowa KidsNet is a proud member of Iowa Shares. Consider supporting foster and adoptive families and children in foster care by donating to Iowa KidsNet at www.iowashares.org. Funds are used to help recruit additional foster families for Iowa children and for special projects to benefit children, families and youth. Examples include purchasing ethnic hair and skin care kits for African American or multi-racial children in Caucasian foster homes; funding scholarship opportunities; purchasing smoke detectors to help new foster families meet licensing requirements; or funding events to recruit more Latino foster families.
