Our kids aren’t that different than other kids. They like to fly kites, pick dandelions and chase fireflies. They like to go camping, shoot hoops, hang out with their friends and listen to music. They may have had an unhappy past, but they imagine a brighter future. They just need someone to be there for them, to tell them they can succeed, to tell them they are special. Someone like you.
Adoption from Foster Care
Many families adopt from foster care after becoming licensed foster parents. Sometimes foster children cannot return home safely to their birth families, and the parental rights are terminated. When children are legally available for adoption, foster parents often have an opportunity to adopt children who are already in their homes as foster placements. In Iowa, we’re fortunate to have many families adopt this way.
The children listed on this page are also available for adoption, but for various reasons need a forever family outside of their current placement. To adopt a child you see on the website, you will still need to go through the licensing process. Click on a picture to inquire about specific children or learn more.
