PLACEMENT PENDING - Thank you for your interest in Marquis, but he has found his forever family!

Baseball, basketball, bowling, soccer—Marquis loves them all! This active 9-year-old can’t wait to play sports and games with his future adoptive family. In addition to being athletic, Marquis is musically talented. He has a wonderful voice and excellent rhythm and body control, and enjoys singing, drumming, dancing and performing for others. He even creates his own breakdancing moves! 

 

Marquis can be charming and loving; his current foster parent describes him as a kind, affectionate, and outgoing child. However, Marquis has special needs that will require services at school and at home now and in the future. Marquis would benefit from a family who has a lot of patience and a very structured home. Change is hard for him, so he needs a family who knows how to give choices and be flexible. The adoptive family should have a strong support system and be willing to work with other agencies and his school to address his needs. Additionally, the adoptive family must be able to provide lots of supervision and one-on-one time.

 

Marquis would like people to know that he is funny and likes to play games (Uno and the Nintendo Wii are favorites), and wants a family who will help him stay connected to his African-American heritage. He would also like a home with children so he has others to play with.
