Allen has interests similar to any other eleven-year-old.  He likes playing soccer and riding his skateboard.  His favorite quiet activities are playing Gameboy and reading.  He also enjoys cats and dogs.  Allen is really interested in science and social studies.  He loves having the opportunity to discuss those subjects and what he is learning.  Allen is described as a friendly, outgoing boy who is caring and likes to help others.

Allen would like a family that will go to the movies with him and teach him how to drive and someday how to work on cars and build things.  He will benefit from a family who has time to devote to helping him with his homework as well as continuing to work with his therapists.   He does well with one-on-one attention.  The new family will need to be a strong team and able to provide Allen with a lot of structure and clear, consistent limits.  Allen would do fine with other siblings or as an only child.
